Invitation from EESA National President

It is my pleasure to invite you and your partner to the 83rd Annual EESA Conference and Trade Exhibition. The organising committee, under the leadership of our Victorian/Tasmanian Chapter Chairman, Mr Colin Frost and the Organising Committee has assembled an outstanding program of papers and speakers.

The theme for this year’s conference is "Power to the People". The theme reminds me that we must never take our electricity infrastructure for granted. Indeed our work in the electricity industry is part of the absolute foundation for our modern lifestyle and our national economy.

The conference speakers and topics are again first class with a strong emphasis on renewable energy supplies and women in engineering.

This will be the last National Conference in Melbourne for a number of years with the 2008 national conference now being planned for Brisbane. So come to Melbourne with your partner and enjoy the conference and the networking opportunities it presents. I look forward to seeing you there.

Dr Robert Barr, EESA National President

Delegates shall listen to conference speakers present their papers on an array of topics, discuss new products with equipment suppliers and service providers at the trade exhibition and will be given opportunities to 'network' with colleagues during the conference and the conference dinner.

The Conference Committee now seeks expressions of interest from participants from all areas of the Electricity Power Industry to present suitable papers at the Conference.
