Following SIF2006 in Sydney, SIF2008 is combined again with the International Conference on Failure Analysis and Maintenance Technologies (ICFAMT) which has run in 2002 and 2004 and was created by Materials Australia to respond to a growing industry demand to consider failure analysis and the technologies used to avoid failures. All papers will be reviewed, and accepted papers will be published in Advanced Materials Research, a periodical from Trans Tech Publications Ltd.
