Materials Inspection and Instrumentation Expo


Monday 10 May 2021

12 noon to 5 pm followed by BBQ and then WA Branch Technical Presentation at 6:30pm

Materials Australia and Innovation Central are inviting science, engineering and technical professionals, academics and students to visit the MIIX2021 expo. The MIIX expo is a free half-day event followed by a technical presentation by Materials Australia. Some of the leading Inspection and Instrumentation equipment suppliers will be showcasing their latest technology and the event is aimed at promoting strong contacts within the Western Australian materials science and technology sector. MIIX2021 is free entry and open to all of our corporate and standard members as well as academics, students and other interested delegates from our kindred societies and Curtin University.

Members of Materials Australia and kindred societies are also encouraged to bring along a “friend” or fellow industry professional to extend this to a networking event and opportunity to meet fellow materials science professionals and encourage new membership.

Materials Australia is inviting relevant and interested companies working within the Materials Inspection and Instrumentation sector to participate in a product expo. We are looking for support from companies who will be displaying/exhibiting some of their latest technology and promoting strong contact within the Western Australian materials science and technology sector. The event will be open to all of our corporate and standard members as well as students and other interested delegates from our kindred societies.
Various opportunities are available to participate and provide sponsorship with three levels:

Bronze $100, Silver $250, and Gold $500

These will allow your company the opportunity to be promoted in the lead-up to the event as well as receive multiple promotion opportunities on the day.

Exhibition/Expo and Sponsorship opportunities also exist to partner with the evening BBQ and networking drinks package. Opportunities are filling quickly so please discuss these opportunities with the Expo organising committee.

Expo/Sponsorship Packages involve the following benefits:


Display Area of up to 5m x5m within the expo area for a half day.
Provide the evening Technical Presentation at 6:30pm (45 minutes) same venue.
Logo on all conference promotional materials


Display Area of up to 3m x 3m within the expo area for the half day

BBQ& Networking Drinks

Prominent banner/Logo display, Formal Intro.
Cost: $750+GST

Please note it will be the responsibility for all expo display participants to provide their own promotional banners, folding tables and display areas. Every effort will be made to provide early access to the Expo area to enable setup of the display areas on the morning before the Expo. 240V power and other basic service facilities will be available. Any special requirements for displays will need to be discussed with the organising committee prior to the event.

Insurances of display equipment will be the responsibility of the expo participants.

Some limited Zoom presentations will be available to interstate companies to present to the MIIX attendees during the day, over 15 minute time slots during the day. These Zoom presentations will be displayed on the main screen in the Innovation Centre. This will give you the opportunity if based in the Eastern States to show case some of your recent equipment and instrumentation innovations without the need to travel to Perth. Presentation times can be booked by contacting the Expo team shown on page 1, but will be based on first in-first served basis. Suggested timeslots will start from1pm onwards.

The Expo display area will need to be cleared of all exhibitions by 5:15pm that day.
